It is our mission to provide students with a memorable experience that will ignite their imaginations, increase their appetites for knowledge, enhance their school work and impact their future careers. With over 200 tons of treasure on display, the Arabia Steamboat Museum will bring history and science to life.

Because we believe in the power of field trips to extend learning beyond the classroom walls, we have compiled classroom lesson plans aligned with Missouri and Kansas state standards, as well as Common Core. Any discussion of American history before the Civil War is enhanced by seeing the Arabia’s treasures in person, while science classes are supplemented by our preservation lab demonstrations. Regardless of grade level, subject matter and class size, our tours and lesson plans can reinforce classroom learning through adventure and discovery.
